High resolution rainfall inputs and technology for predictive hydrology
Occurrences of heavy rainfall and flooding events are increasing and more people and infrastructure are impacted. The need for better and more accessible information is growing. This seminar will focus on advances in hydrology and rainfall estimation that improve flash flood lead-time and accuracy, allowing for pre-flood activities to be implemented. Better prepositioning before floods and detailed information during floods can reduce impacts and improve emergency management.
