Using Supersaturated Dissolved Oxygen Technology to Remediate Polluted Surface Waters
Proven in the wastewater treatment industry, supersaturated dissolved oxygen technology is being used to mitigate the impacts of polluted surface waters after extreme weather events and nuisance flooding. Case studies highlight its application to remediate polluted surface waters following infrastructure failures in Suffolk, Virginia following Hurricane Sandy, in Memphis, Tennessee after heavy spring rains, and in Sao Paulo, Brazil, where untreated domestic sewage is commonly released to the environment.
