About Dr. Albrecht A. BECK

Albrecht Beck is the Director of the Prepared International (PPI), and an expert in disaster governance systems and mass evacuations. Previously, he has worked for different United Nations Organizations in the field of disaster response and preparedness. Next to his work for PPI, Albrecht serves the United Nations Disaster Assessment and Coordination Team, and is the NATO Civil Expert for population Movements and Disaster Management. He is part of the Advisory Board of the Crisis Response Journal London as well as the World Humanitarian Forum. For his work on Disaster Risk Management, he received the Special Recognition of the Averted Disaster Award in 2023.
